We are looking for a talent with solid professional skills in the manufacturing industry who can provide superb work experience. This posting is for an existing, immediate vacancy.
This position will be the main HR contact for the salaried employee base in Toronto. The incumbent will provide generalist support to the business, advise key stakeholders, and support employee needs. The incumbent will also work on developing or improving HR processes to modernize the HR function, and will be a key driver of employee engagement, company culture, diversity and employee well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for full-cycle recruitment and onboarding of salaried positions (replacements, new positions, etc.).
- Responsible to develop & conduct onboarding surveys after probationary periods.
- Accountable for office / facilities related tasks in the Corporate office: Lockers, Supplies, Seating, etc.
- Review & respond to HR Salaried FreshDesk Tickets in timely manner.
- Responsible for maintaining all Salaried employee records and files; hard copy and soft copy scanned and saved in the HR Drive.
- Required to process & input all salaried onboarding information into HR software systems: Dayforce, 4S, RRSP, Benefits, etc.
- Drafting employment letters, termination letters, and other verification documentation of Salaried employees.
- Preparing reports and recommending procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover and conducting exit interviews for salaried employees to determine reasons behind separations.
- Organizes & executes annual performance management program.
- Updates the Salaried Organizational Chart on a monthly basis.
- Develop & executes annual succession planning process.
- Works closely with your Supervisor to review employee survey & re-design as necessary; responsible to deploy to salaried staff annually.
- Maintaining & updating the Hybrid Work policy and following up with Supervisors/Managers to ensure compliance is maintained.
- Administering Long Term Disabilities/Leaves of Absence and Employee Return to Work plans,
- including liaising with insurance and medical professionals as required to ensure necessary paperwork is completed on time.
- Responsible to conduct salaried employee terminations with hiring managers and provide consultation & strategic direction on approach & execution.
- Investigating health and safety concerns, workplace safety audits, accidents/injuries, and work refusals; liaising with Ministry of Labour on compliance matters, and preparing reports and documentation as required.
- Ensuring that the 4S Learning Management System is updated regularly and that all Health & Safety training is tracked in the system on an ongoing basis.
- Updating and conducting Respect in the Workplace training for all employees as needed.
- Prevent or report employee incidents, conducting investigations, maintaining records, preparing and presenting to management, and providing support during remediation period.
- Reviewing and revising HR policies in compliance with changing or new legislation.
- Back up for the full cycle recruitment and selection of hourly staff by identifying appropriate talent for current open roles within the organization.
- Facilitate workforce planning and manage the headcount (including contracts) to ensure that it meets, and does not exceed, business requirements.
- Providing coaching and training to managers on employee relations matters in accordance with the ESA, OHSA and other relevant legislation.
- Manage employee disciplinary process: Draft documents, attend meetings, take notes & maintain existing file storage procedures to keep organized & up to date files for potential legal review.
Educational Requirement:
- University Degree or College Diploma, preferred focus in Human Resources Management.
- Minimum 5 years progressive experience in HR, minimum 2 years at a Generalist level;
- Manufacturing experience an asset;
- Creative thinking skills and solutions focused thinking: provides potential answers to problems, doesn’t ask for them;
- Organizational and planning skills to manage the day to day HR responsibilities as well as ensure longer term projects and goals are met;
- Strong decision-making and problem solving skills as well as time management skills;
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability and desire to problem solve, multi task with cross functional team, & prioritize
- Highly adaptable, motivated, analytical/data driven, detail-oriented, and able to work autonomously.
Salary: $60,000 - $85,000 CAD
