STATUS: Hourly – Bargaining Unit CLOSING DATE 2026-01-11
SUMMARY: All-round general knowledge of paint applications and preparation of product, this role will lend support to the Lead Hand.
ROLE: Responsible for receiving and releasing quality products in to/from the Paint Shop. Operators shall apply their knowledge of paint processes to produce finished goods, and the flexibility to assume other assigned duties in preparation for shipping.
DESIRED SKILLS:
- Performs assembly of product as required
- Identifies quality product acceptable for paint
- Troubleshoots related processes and equipment
- Attends to required minor repairs
- Ability to work independently / with minimal supervision
- Good interpersonal skills and a team player
- Any other responsibilities that may be assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS:
- Min. grade 12 or equivalent education
- 3+ years relevant work experience in powder coat applications and techniques (reading blueprints, installations, repairs, etc.) in a metal welding/fabrication environment
- Ability to work shifts
- Written and oral aptitude in English
- Ability to meet prescribed production standards
- Capable and willing to learn
VACANCIES: 1 Day Shift (7:00am – 3:30pm)
RATE: $24.12
- Subject to assessment of skills and qualifications by Active following a 90 working days probationary period
- Shifts may vary
- Shift Premium where applicable
